What this role contributes.
This role supports painting, surface repair and epoxy-flooring projects where preparation quality, access planning and protection of occupied areas are essential. The technician works from approved materials, colours, work zones and curing requirements.
Assignments may include walls, ceilings, utility rooms, warehouses, parking areas and commercial floors. The role requires attention to contamination, moisture, repairs, masking, ventilation and safe re-opening of completed areas.
Core responsibilities
What you will be accountable for.
Inspect surfaces and report cracks, moisture, contamination, adhesion risks or repair needs.
Prepare work zones with masking, floor protection, ventilation and controlled access.
Carry out cleaning, sanding, grinding support, patching, primer and coating stages as instructed.
Mix and apply approved painting or epoxy systems according to product requirements and supervisor direction.
Maintain wet-edge, coverage, finish and cleanliness standards throughout the work.
Protect curing areas and communicate access restrictions before handover.
Record materials, work stages, photographs and any conditions affecting the finish.

Practical painting, coating, epoxy-flooring or surface-preparation experience.
Understanding of substrate cleanliness, moisture, contamination, repair and curing considerations.
Ability to use common preparation and application tools safely and accurately.
Attention to detail in occupied residential and commercial environments.
Ability to follow product instructions, colour schedules and supervisor-approved work plans.
Physical ability to work on floors, walls, ladders and controlled project zones as permitted.
